The Flamingo hotel's location is top notch. The price for an upgraded room is excellent as well. My qualms are with the emotionless staff and some of the dated exhibits. They are undergoing construction so perhaps the pool and flamingo pond will be updated by the time you check in. Biggest qualm though, I requested a room with one bed. All they had were doubles rooms and an handicapped room. Instead of doing the right thing and upgrading me they stuck me in the handicapped room. Taking a shower in a bathroom that looks like a men's locker room is no fun.

The staff was nice but the bathroom was gross.
02/17/2012The bathroom floor was gross the tiles on the floor looked like they should be replaced (cracked and old). i couldn't get the shower to work very well.

02/15/2012Well i have been to vegas before but never stayed at the flamingo.. well when we got there i asked for an upgrade (if we had to pay was ok) ...
Well I have been to Vegas before but never stayed at the Flamingo.. Well when we got there I asked for an upgrade (if we had to pay was ok) and the front desk person said she would even have to see if there was a room available because they sold out. I was a little upset so after waiting for 30 minutes she found us a "upgraded" room because there was nothing else available. Got to the room. It was a classic room that was recently rentovated. All I can say is not much of an upgrade but the room was clean. Checked back and talked to the Front Desk Manager "George". He was a total jerk... He acted like we were wasting his time. After about 15 minutes he said come back at 6pm but he can't promise anything. What attitude. So six came around and we finally got a nice lady who just said to us "no problem" and upgraded us to a beautiful GO room on the 25 floor. It was great. So all an all it was a good stay.
