The Flamingo is the place to stay where it is easy to access all the strip has to offer. While it is located in the center of the strip, across from Caesar's, there is still lots to do without leaving the hotel. Margarittaville is a difinate must with good food, drink, and fun atmosphere. Carlos n'Charlies is a great stop too that gets even crazier after 5! The buffet is nothing to write home about. The rooms are chic, the beds are comfortable, but the bathrooms are small. Over all it is not to crowded, which makes it a little more relaxed and laid back. I do recommend The Flamingo for a weekend getaway, their rates are reasonable.

I find myself in Las Vegas close to every year for a real estate conference, which normally happens at Caesars or Paris. This year it was across the street at Caesars and the room rate there (with conference discount) was 4 times as much as The Flamingo. I have stayed at The Flamingo twice before and decided to do it again. The staff was more friendly than last time, from the maintenance guy asking if I needed directions when I entered to random employees asking if I was good. I took the room quality down to good, as my room overlooking the strip was renovated to a degree, but not the bathroom as in previous stays. Also, the hallways good use a re-do in my wing. All in all, a great value with unbeatable location... hopefully next time in town it will be warmer and the pool will be open.

The guest service manager was very helpful in resolving a room problem and she was most gracious even though it was a busy night. Please express our gratitude to Malinda and the people who kept our room clean. We are frequent visitors to this hotel and will certainly stay again when the occasion arises whiich is in January when we celebrate both our birthdays.
