Had read some less than glowing reviews. but I took a chance and the facilities were more than adequate and quite comfortable. Plenty of pillows, furnishings a little dated, oh well. Right on Calle Real plenty of shops, food stores and a Trader Joes. Coffee maker in room, no refrig, heated pool. Price what you might expect for an upscale vacation destination like Santa Barbara.

While the room was comfortable and clean, the look and feel was '80's. Price wasn't a bargain either. We booked anyway because it was 2 miles from the airport and offerred shuttle service. However, we found out the shuttle didn't begin it's run until 6:15am...our flight left at 6:20...so we ended up renting a car. I would recommend the hotel as a descent place to stay, just be aware of it's age and price point.

My family and I were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff. We were asked what level best suited our needs and was directed to convenient parking close to room. Our room was very welcoming and clean. The grounds and the pool were also well maintained. Will stay here again on our next visit to Santa Barbara !
