The room I was given was in the "Classic" part of the hotel which was kinda cool, but I like a nice new clean room when I'm trying to book a 4 star hotel. If you are looking for that go for the Executive tower...much nicer. Classic rooms are more like staying in an old castle...cool factor, but not luxury. Otherwise it was a great location on Las Olas and close to beach. Not walking distance, but you can take the trolly for only * cents. Cool place.

although not as swanky as it would appear from the outside, and a little overpriced for the room decor and amenities, the hotel was clean, quiet and had very friendly helpful front desk staff. it is the only hotel located on the shopping strip of las olas and is conviently close to the beach airport and nightlife and we had a nice problem-free stay

The Riverside Hotel charm is mostly in it's location: walking distance to Downtown Fort lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale Beach and right on Las Olas Boulevard. So if you are exploring this area, this hotel puts you in the middle of everything and it is also close to the airport. It is not a new hotel and you will experience some tell tale signs of age in the lobby as well as in the rooms, but everything is clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. The room was comfortable and well appointed. Do not skip a night cap at the hotel lobby bar; great cocktails!
