Good hotel for the price; stayed 3 nights for a girl's getaway weekend. Small, but stylish hotel, rooms are okay, liked the hardwood floors. The location on Collins Ave. was great, within walking distance to Ocean Dr. & Lincoln Rd which is where all the restaurants & shopping are. Beach is just across the street. Bus stop, taxi service & bicycle rental all very convienient. Enjoyed the happy hour $1.00 drinks in the bar. Did not eat the free breakfast or use the free computer in the lobby. Staff was friendly. Can be a little noisy at night if room is facing Collins Ave.

Not since a cheap sleeping bag and in unheated pup tent on an early spring camping trip to a high mountain lake in the Oregon Cascades have I spent such a cold night? One sheet and a see through lite weight bed spread is all they give you and no extra blankets. Dead tired from 12 hours of flying I awoke freezing in the early AM only to find that the room had no heater, just an air conditioner. The temperature does sometimes drop in Miami. A 1940’s architecture with a bad 1970's remodel, the fake wood grain furniture took away any ambiance. The room was tiny with only a tiny table over in the corner, a small chest of drawers with a TV on top and a freestanding amour for closet space, all of the same plastic fake wood and little space to walk. There was no counter top in the bathroom only a pedestal sink and a toilet tank that leans forward sliding anything set there into the bowl, so a 16" window sill is the only place to set anything, making shaving or applying makeup for my wife quite difficult. She spilled a lot of stuff on the floor. We left the hair dryer running to warm the bathroom. The lobby and the courtyard are very beautiful, but the party noise from the street went on until 2 AM and at 8:00 AM the traffic and construction noise even on Sunday made sleep impossible, not to mention the curtains are see through as well and the bliinds block very little light,so when the sun come up you will know it. If you stay here I suggest staying up all night with the street party since they will keep you awake anyway, get really drunk and pass out so you will sleep through the morning traffic and won’t notice if it gets cold. I am glad it was a one night stop over for us.

The hotel was located right in the middle of South Beach and the grounds were beautiful (nice courtyard and heated pool). As with most of the hotels in this area, the rooms were decent size but not that fancy inside. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.

The room smelled damp. The door in the suite was hard to open and had to be slammed to be closed. The room key had to bechange everytime I stepped out and tried to come back in. Very annoying walking all the way to the service desk to get the key reconfigured. The Fitness room was like a sauna....someone could pass out in there
