Check in was immediate. The checkin staff, bell boy counter, room service lady, Cabo staff, feast buffet staff and casino waitresses were very friendly. Staff members volunteered helpful information. We stayed in a clean tower unit. Breakfast feast was $. It was very good especially since it included the drink. Lunch and dinner feast was much better than a rival hotel on the strip buffet of . Even better was the onsite Mexican restaurant (Cabo's). Food and staff there was exceptional. Gambling casino didn't seem too smokey. I did have a run in with the casino floor staff about a slot that did not credit wins. Looking at the recorded previous history of the machine, they could not correctly calculate the winnings. They avoided this redneck the rest of the week, but I tip the floor waitress and she kept bringing the free drinks. You save with the airport shuttle and the two location strip shuttle. We also used the 5 dollar a day bus system that stops on the road in front of The Palace to travel off-strip, Fremont, and on strip.

After reading reviews I was apprehensive about staying here, but had to for a conference. I was greatly surprised. I stayed in the tower rooms, but paid for the courtyard (no charge for upgrade at the desk). I have stayed at TI and with the exception that the room was a touch smaller the recent renovation puts the room quality at the least equal with 4star resorts on the strip. I had a business emergency while there and needed to receive a fax. Unlike other reviews I had absolutely no trouble. My wife joined me mid-week, I left a note and tip on the piilow and they left extra towels, added a couple pillows, and gave extra special attention to cleaning detail. I only ate at Cabo's and either I was hungry, or it was pretty darn good. I was there during happy hour on Sunday afternoon and Tuesday evening, and ate and drank my fill for $5 plus tip. Played the video BlackJack during my meal on Tuesday and left with more than I walked in with after the meal ;-). If you want an exciting casino experience, go to the strip. This casino is small and caters to locals. However, they have every table game and slots you will find elsewhere. If you are looking for poker, go somewhere else, there are much better places on the strip.

This was my first time in Las Vegas , its possible my expectations were some what high? Checked in rather late 12:20 am , reservation was misplaced , front desk personnel were not very friendly , it was about 20 minutes before things were straitened out. Room was good and reasonably quiet , bathroom large but needs up dating could use exhaust fan. didn't try room service , too expensive , food at hotel restaurants was good . House keeping a little slow , maids were friendly . Hotel employees were cordial but not very helpful . Hotel is off the strip but close to freeway , seemed to have plenty of parking.

My friend and I were supposed to arrive at the hotel on Tuesday May 27th, but was delayed on our flight and wouldn't land in Las Vegas until the next morning. We called to let them know about the delay, they were extremely understanding. They called the airport to let them know that our baggage was already on the way there, it had boarded an earlier flight. They even upgraded our room from a courtyard room to a suite in the tower. The view was amazing. The staff at the front desk and throughout the Casino/Hotel... was extremely friendly. The only downsides that we noticed, was 1- you had to spend an additional $10.00 for a fridge to be brought to your room and 2- the location was kind of hard to get to. It's located off the strip, not too far though. We took the duece bus down to the north end of the strip and then caught the Cat bus to the hotel. Only problem was that the Duece bus ran every 15 minutes and the Cat bus ran only at the top of the hour. Sometimes, we sat there for at least a good 45 minutes just to get back to our hotel. Other than that, everyone was Awesome! I would Definately stay here again!!!

Don't book the "Courtyard" rooms. A Motel 6 has nicer rooms that these. We upgraded to the Tower. The room was OK--clean, well-laid out, nice bathroom and TV--but the price was way to high for the quality of the hotel. Could have gotten one of the Strip hotels for just a few more dollars. Staff was awful. They all acted like they we're doing you a favor to even talk to you. Front desk was the worst. Over twenty people in line to check in and they CLOSED two windows, leaving only two openings for check-out AND check-in. When I complained about the wait the clerk shrugged and said "Nothing I can do about it". Bellboy got distracted and forgot to bring our luggage to our room. Had to go into luggage storage room myself to find it. When I went down to check out, clerk said two things to me: "Whut you want?" and then, when she gave me my receipt, "Here." No "Thank you for staying," no "Have a good day", nothing. Only exception was the service in the Broiler, the main restaurant. It was very good, very attentive and pleasant waitress, and good food. Recommend this hotel should hire a Customer Service trainer. They need it.
