From the moment I arrived at the Hotel, the staff was personable and pleasant greeting me by my last name showing respect. I had purchased a HDTV which I had in my trunk. They immediately wanted to secure it's safety and stored it for me at the hotel.. The staff was also very helpful when I requested security and required paramedics to assist me because I arrived from my eight hour trip exhausted. They responded quickly and were reassuring. The rooms I stayed were clean, modern, and sleek. The only complaint I have is that connecting to the Internet was inconsistent. Otherwise, my stay was very pleasant and I would definitely stay there again!

I recently went to Las Vegas and stayed at the Palace Station. It was very nice, clean and quiet---you didnt hear other peoples conversation in the room next to you and the restaurant downstairs was inexpensive even though it was located in the hotel. he only drawback was the distance from the strip, you needed to take a shuttle bus for $5 each way or rent a car. Also, there weren't any stores around the hotel to get little things like contact solution, deodorant, soap etc.... Other than that I liked the hotel room (tower suite) and I would stay in it again. By the way I went venturing over to the pol area and the courtyard rooms look sooooo sleazy compared to the tower rooms. Its like a run down motel behind a nice hotel.

The Palace Station Hotel is pretty good band for your buck. It's off the strip, but that's good if you aren't going to be in the party scene. The Cafe' downstairs is good as is the room service. The bed was comfortable and the TV is huge. Housekeeping was helpful and friendly. The room/hotel is nicer that I thought for the money, and the view was nice. The only complaint I have is that they need thicker walls. The people in the room next to mine woke me up both nights...with assorted noises. I would stay here again.

We will never return. We booked the ""courtyard"". Our room overlooked a an ugly chain link fence 2 feet from our window overlooking the loading dock. The clerk was very friendly and tried to be helpful. Our choices of rooms were one that overlooked the freeway or the parking lot. He agreed that the ad indicating a 'courtyard' was misleading 'there is no courtyard"". The room was small and ok. Housekeeping missed our room. . The hotel is a ways from the strip. They provide a shuttle to and from the strip for $10.00 per person roundtrip. The casino is okay, but if we felt trapped being so far from any other casino. Good luck trying to find a waitress to bring you a complimentary drink. There appeared to be only one person working the floor and when we ordered from her she disappeared for the rest of the night. All we wanted was water. I went to the bar for water and they wanted to charge me $3.00. I sorry, I must be spoiled. In all the Seatle area casinos offer all soft drinks including water for free at the bar and on the casino floor. Just a further note- there is no coke products on the premices - it is pepsi only. The slots are not loose as advertised -- gambling is gambling - you don't epect to win - there is no remote hint that you can win anything there. The driver on the free shuttle from the airport did not help with our luggage, but was staniding at the door at the end of the trip with his hand out. The driver to the airport was very helpful - we tipped him. Stay on the strip....

  • Watch out for the daily resort fees

After booking this trip, I found out from another website that The Station Casinos have substantially increased their daily resort fees from what was once a reasonable amount ($4.95, IIRC) to at least $9.95 (Palace Station, this trip). Their newest resort, Aliante Station, has a daily resort fee of $14.95 (source, on line website). Notwithstanding the financial issues that all Las Vegas resorts are enduring, I would like to see The Station Casinos rethink this most unwelcome increase in daily resort fees, particularly when at least one other competing chain has not as yet followed (Boyd Gaming).
