We stayed in a Tower Room from Feb.12th -17th. I was skeptical about staying here, but the price was exceptional so we gave it a try and I am very pleased that we did! Check-in was a breeze and the front desk personnel were pleasant and efficient. Our room was on the 5th floor with a view of the strip. The room was beautiful with a Marble tiled bathroom and a plasma TV. The bed was extremely comfortable! The staff were very accomodating. The first night we noticed we only had two pillows and called down at 1am asking for extras. I assumed they would deliver them the next morning but they brought them right after we called! I read reviews about the Casino being smokey...ummm hello..your in VEGAS all the casinos are smokey. We ate at the feast buffet twice and it was average. Granted it was only $4.99 so we didnt expect much. We also ate at the Oyster Bar (excellent) and the Cabo the mexican restaurant - very good! As far as the ""extra fees"", here's the real scoop...the hotel charges a $100.00 refundable security deposit. There is also a $10.85/night charge for a ""resort fee"" which includes internet, shuttle and use of the facilities. Alot of the hotels charge this fee and we found it to be ALOT more at other Vegas hotels and so we did not have a problem with it. Because we did alot of gambling the hotel actually comped us one night of the resort fee and a our mexican dinner at Cabo. The hotel shuttle is free but service starts at 4pm daily. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

I'd like to preface this review with the caviat that this was my first trip to Vegas, and I didn't know much about the layout of the city: This is a very nice hotel, with very friendly staff and nice clean rooms. I paid an extra $3.49 or so to get a room in the tower, which was supposed to be quieter. I really enjoyed my stay there, including the $5.00 breakfast buffet, which was great and had extraordinary variety. I had the wonderful experience of getting my wallet back (with my cash still in it!), after leaving it at the breakfast buffet on my last day. It was turned into security, with the cash secured by a receipt, so it could be easily retrieved at the cashiers window. The problem with the hotel is it's location, which appeared to be right off the strip on the map. It is, actually just about 1/4 mile from the strip, but you can not walk from the hotel to the strip. On my first evening there, I tried to walk to the strip. I got to a point where it was suddenly apparent that you could not go further by foot. At that point, a cabbie appeared, and took me to the strip. It cost $8.00 with tip for a 1/4 mile ride, which offended my inner tightwad. The section of the strip nearest the hotel is about 3/4 of a mile north of where all the action is, so I decided not to walk there. I walked back, over the overpass, against traffic. Definitely a bad idea. The location of the hotel is not a problem if you have a car.

We have stayed here before; however, we were very disappointed with the bad attitude of this hotel on this trip. The hot tub was closed. We were given a room next to a loading dock that was so noisy that we couldn't sleep our first night. When we were not approached to order a drink while gambling, my husband went in search of water and we were charged $3 per undersized bottle. He pointed out that we were gambling and where I was sitting and he had been sitting, and the employee replied with ""So?"" We expected to be charged an extra $9.95 per day at check in, as this was clearly stated; however, the charge was $10.75 per day and then $100 was charged against our credit card at check in towards whatever other charges we might accrue. This was mandatory. We were told we could pay it in cash or credit card, but that we would have to pay it, and a refund for any difference would issue after we checked out. Basically ""So?"" seemed to be the operating attitude.

Would be helpful if shuttles ran later. carpets could use a good cleaning (smelled musty). this hotel offers value for money spent.
