After we had made reservations, I read a few on-line reviews that were not very positive about this hotel. Our experience, however, was excellent. The room was clean and the beds were very comfy! The staff was helpful. I cannot review the restaurant as we ate all meals out, but our stay, overall, was very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel lobby was beautiful. We were surprised there were no amenities in the room; no coffee maker, microwave or refrigerator. They did provide fresh coffee in the lobby on Mother's day up till 9 a.m., but none at any other time (We had to go down stairs through the lobby and outside next to the hotel to a coffee shop to get refreshments). We also didn't find any amenities in the bath room, such as soap, shampoo etc. For such a beautiful hotel and the price they charged (it was not cheap) we expected more. The location was wonderful and within walking distance to Freedom park, restaurants and public transportation. The architecture of the building was gorgeous but the staff was somewhat formal and stuffy. It was definately not Southern hospitality.

In an expensive city this was excellent value for money. Absolutely a great location. if you have a car park in the lot over the road, expensive but for this city OK. Then no need to drive after you park the car, great if you are from o/s or are unfamiliar with Boston roads. Room and facilities were excellent. We will stay ther again.
