Older hotel with a VERY claustrophobic room.
09/03/2012The "plaza petite" isn't exaggerating... it's petite. full sized bed with about 2 1/2' on the right and left side, and about 6 feet at the foot ...
The "Plaza Petite" isn't exaggerating... it's PETITE. Full sized bed with about 2 1/2' on the right and left side, and about 6 feet at the foot with a 3 foot desk on that wall. Bathroom so tight that the edge of the toilet bowl is no more than 3 inches from the tub. Seemed a little pricey for the room size. No free WiFi, which is pretty crazy in this day and age. Great location though, but be prepared.. It's in a VERY affluent neighborhood so expect $15 cheeseburgers, $8 beers, and $12 mixers.

This is a big hotel and we were a client like any other one, did not feel welcome as much as in other hotel we have been before. The safe was broken, they said somebody will come and they never did. Ask them to put stuff away in their safe in the lobby: denied, could have change room but for a smaller one. Coffee machine in the room, but did not have coffee, ask for, did not get any the first day, the second day took a long time, good thing there is a coffee shop close by. Bed is comfy.

Pros: Location! Also, the hotel is very large and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The room was nice with a good view and comfy beds. The in-room Keurig was a great bonus. The cons: It would have been nice to have a fridge, but no big deal. The bathroom was old and small and not too comfortable. The walls are thin so you could hear everything (in hall and next room). The location made everything worth it. It's in the Back Bay area, near Boston Common, and within walking distance of great shops, cafes, restaurants, and anything else you can think of.
