The hotel was very difficult to navigate. After finding the room which was supposed to be an upgraded room, the interior of the room was nothing to write home about. There was a large bathroom with a tub and shower and a very small cubicle for the toilet. Most of the space was open in the middle of the bathroom, unusable space. A small vanity was located in the hallway. A small writing desk with an even smaller coffee/tea maker was on top of the writing desk. True to Vegas form everything was an extra charge. Even the inroom coffee/tea service was an extra charge. The shower handle was broken and the water was either cold or hot. Hotel staff was not accomodating or helpful. Not what I expect from that expensive of a hotel.

  • The hotel was right in the middle of the action in Vegas

My one negative would be the smell of smoke that was constantly in the lobby and sometimes our room. I'm a non-smoker and I know the likely hood of a Vegas hotel going non smoking would be very slim, but I would have enjoyed it even more.

  • Exceeded expectations

Contrary to other reviews I have seen, the line wasnt too long for check in (maybe because it was the night before Easter?). We asked for 2 queen beds and because they did not have any available we got a free upgrade to a king suite. Wow! The suite was a 2 bathroom apartement of probably 1000 square feet. It had all the comforts and then some. I am picky about beds and this bed was extremely comfy! It was in the original tower which again contrary to other reviews I did not find "tired" or "worn". We had a great view of the strip! We ordered room service for dinner the first night and although very expensive, it was excellent and quick. The concierge was friendly and helpful in getting us tickets for a show (and excellent seats). Every single person I talked to was friendly and helpful. My only complaints: The "over 21 pool" was closed and it would have been nice to be away from the multitude of splashy noisy children. The hot tubs were closed for renovation. The buffet was closed indefinitely. All food and beverage, although good quality, was overpriced.

  • We didn't like it...

The staff and service was bad, there wasn't any room in the pool, they charge for everything: pool seats, phone, internet, etc.

  • Great staff, but loud atmosphere!

Overall our stay was alright, but our first night we slept horribly from the DJ's sound system in the nightclub downstairs and even with the exceptional upgrade they gave us after complaining (at no charge) we could hear the base drum of the car radios on the strip! Oh, and the pool's were chilly:( But the staff was unbelievable, and I think if gambling's your thing this is a great stay and if it's not and you can afford to stay in the Octavius or Augustus suites that it would be a better experience.
