Nice but expensive

The hotel was nice, the casino was clean, The place was huge. Only problem was the cost of things to buy. Two people, two salads, two ice teas, $34. Two people, two sandwiches, (pre-made in a plastic carton) and two ice teas, $32. A total rip off on value. Quality was good, but worth about $20 at most. Went to the local steak house. $72 for an al-la-cart sirloin. We went to another restaurant away from the hotel and it was ONLY $42. Purchase it here at home, and the same sirloin would be about $35, but it would have vegs and a potato. The slots were pretty much one way slots. Money goes in, but nothing comes out. Internet service was only $20 a day extra if you wanted it.

Maybe other towers are more modern. I thought I'd run into Buddy Hackett or Joey Bishop in the Roman Tower. Modern-ish bathroom, but poor view and only two large drawers in TV stand - not practical for four nights' stay. Long time for hot water in sink and sounded like construction in room below. Concierge said they would be renovating Roman Towers next year, but no help for me now. Extra $15/day for internet. Convenient central location of hotel to rest of strip. However, hotel layout such that couldn't get from one place to another without being directed to gambling areas. If I want to gamble, can easily find.

I had a blast at Ceasars Palace! It was our very first time visiting Las Vegas. The staff and service were very nice and helpful. Everything was wonderful. The only thing that i would do different would be to stay in a different room. When it got late, all you could here was the pounding music from Pure night club just a short distance away. Other than that, all else was great.
