Been to NYC many times. This Doubletree is an excellence location. Our travel party consisted of 6 travelers. Rooms were good size, especailly rooms with 2 beds. This helps when you have lots of bags and luggage. Recommend visiting the firehouse next door, especially if you have kids (young or old). The firefighters might give you a tour and you can purchase t-shirts and hats with the fire company name on them. Do not worry we never heard the siren. It is turned on a block up.

I would recommend this hotel to fellow travelers. The staff was extremely polite and helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. The room was comfortable, nicely decorated and clean. I thought this hotel was an excellent value for the money. This was my first visit to NYC in many years and I will indeed return and stay at the Metropolitan Doubletree! Thanks for making my visit so special and worry free.

Great location for me and pretty clean. One has to take into account that NYC hotels (unless they are very high-end) are not what one finds in Atlanta or other large cities. Nice bar and lots of great food street vendors near by. Good coffee shop adjacent.
