I was not expecting much after reading the reviews for this double tree hotel and did not receive much either. The rooms were small and dingy. Wallpaper was peeling off. The room light was too low and made the room feel even more cramped. The bathroom was unusually small. The toilet was almost touching the bathroom door. The bathtub was peeling as well as the wall paper in the bathroom. The walls were thin, so you are able to hear everyone walking by. Housekeeping was nice and friendly. The cookies were great. We stop by the receptionist for cookies every time we left or entered the hotel and they were always warm and fresh. I most likely will not stay at this hotel again.

This hotel was a welcome experience in a long list of previous let downs. This was my first trip to New York to celebrate a very personal happy occasion and it was extremely important that everything go well...the hotel being the first stop set the tone for an overall GREAT Weekend---Snow fall and all. The Hotel was very modern, clean and well appointed...before traveling I felt it was slightly overpriced, but now in hind-sight I must say that I left feeling very impressed and that the experience was worth every penny that I spent,....Would recommend this hotel highly to any of my colleagues traveling to the area in the future.

Stood on line for twenty minutes to check in. Room was very small. Toilet was clogged. Hallways very noisy. Bellman could not hail a cab , ended up walking to the theatre. Waited 25 minutes for a waiter for breakfast, no one even came to serve coffee. Waited 15 minutes for the bartender to get a cocktail. Room was clean but beds were not comfortable and very small bathroom.

Not a 4 star or 5 star hotel, but in a great midtown location. Average to good facilities. The shower pressure was great, but the bed was a little soft to my liking, but I like a very firm bed. Also, next to NYPD and NYFD, so a little noisy at night, but they provide ear plugs. The noise did not bother me.
