My husband and I really needed a weekend away and decided to go to NYC, and it was fantastic! The hotel was great, they gave us a complimentary upgrade, the staff was very professional, and the location was perfect. The lounge was great and even gave us drinks on the house! It was walking distance to Central Park and Times Square and just a short cab ride away to every other destination we wanted to go to. We will definitely stay there again and recommend to all of our friends.

Overall, our stay at the DoubleTree was very good. The housekeeping staff and bellmen were VERY helpful and professional. The staff at check-in could have been a little more pleasant. When asked a few questions, their responses were rather abrupt.

No free internet or complimentary breakfast unless you paid extra or you were a HHonors Gold member. Room was clean and okay, but the lack of in-room facilities was a bit annoying. There wasn't even a coffee maker in the room! And they charged a total of $4 for luggage storage! I usually give tips to the bell men for that, but the service is always free (or included, I should say) for every hotel I have stayed. Perhaps it's a New York thing (nothing is free)....
