    We had four people in two rooms at the Doubletree Metropolitan and very much enjoyed it. We chose it primarily because it was reasonably priced (at least relative to everything else), a good location, and offered rooms with two beds (not a given in NYC) and weren't disappointed. Standard DoubleTree (yay cookies!) and not spectacular but nice staff, clean and comfortable rooms, small but nice bar, and good location. A few blocks from Radio City, right on a subway stop, and not far from Central Park. The breakfast was good and would have been pricey if we hadn't opted for a special on Travel agency. Also, it's still irritating to pay for internet when any Comfort Inn or Super 8 offers it for free. Overall a good experience.

    We have stayed at a number of hotels in the same general area, and i believe our stay at the Doubletree was a good value. The strongest points would be the friendly and helpful staff and the location, good for a combination of business and theater. The cleanliness was satisfactory but not impressive, and the facilities were dated and worn, mixed with a few updates. however the size of the room was adequate. There was no place at the small sink to place toiletries or shaving kit, except under the sink. But all in all, we enjoyed our stay and plan on returning in the future.

    The hotel was excellent! We had great rooms, great view. We were next to the fire station but did not hear anything. We went to a yankees game and the location was PERFECT. Took the train to 161st - straight shot. Staff was friendly and helpful and offered GREAT suggestions for food (The oxford is an excellent place for a quick good meal). Cheaper than the hotel too. Rooms were large for NY, very clean, and hotel was beautiful. You cannot find a nicer hotel in this location at this rate. Ended up raining on our last day, and the valet was kind enough to offer us hotel umbrellas for the day. Will stay there again for our next trip to NYC.
