The hotel is located a 5 minute walk from all the main attractions in the French Quarter. Rooms are clean and the beds are fluffy (a little too fluffy for my taste). Pretty much what you'd expect. My only issue was the lack of a free business center and the mini-fridge that would not work. Other than that, it was fine.

The InterContinental New Orleans is an upscale, well appointed hotel with dining, bar, gym, pool, and gift shop. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds, fine linens, etc. The gym has enough machines to minimize any wait times. Pete's is an upscale bar with TVs for those wanting to catch a game or sport highlights. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. The dining experience was more convenient than tasty. Please note that the hotel does charge extra for in room internet, which is not wi-fi. (Free wi-fi is available in the public lounge area and in Pete's.) Also, parking is by valet with an extra daily charge of $32. My only complaint was being charged 2 days for parking when I had my car there over night.
