The hotel was located in a prime location near several very nice restaurants and local attractions. In particular, Durango Steakhouse had a killer poterhouse steak cooked to perfection!! If you are sightseeing the acquarium is a must see as is the Altanta Historical Society Museum. Did not get a chance to dine at the hotel's Sundial restaurant, but their live music was excellent and the decor sophisticated. There was an excellent view and the restaurant turns 360 degrees so you can see for miles and was really nice at night!! The hotel was undergoing renovation so you will want to stay below the 33rd floor to get their recently renovated rooms. We were originally placed on the 52nd floor, but requested a change of rooms as they were not renovated. The new rooms are really nice . I can't wait until the upper floors are done as the views were great. Concierge service was top class as every need was accomodated. All staff members seemed friendly and willing to assist. Was looking forward to using the pool, but did not get the chance as pool hours were 10 am - 10pm and we were doing alot of sightseeing ; they need to open the pool at 6am!! Overall, we had a nice time staying at the hotel. There are alot of food choices in various price ranges. Allowed us to mix and match more expensive and upscale restaurants with cheaper alternatives. They had American food, Brazilian, southern, a fast food court, Hooter's and a Hard Rock Cafe. Durango Steakhouse was about $80 (plus tip# for two; There was a Brazilian Churrascarria which we didn't get to go to, but price would be about the same. Jalapeno Pete's was a cheaper Mexican style restaurant with decent food at a good price; about $50 for two #plus tip).

Extremely Disappointing. Aside from a very WORN room (even the picture frames were beat up and worn) There was never any Hot water, it was TEPID at the warmest temperature! The linens and towels were of lower quality, The room was always cold, the drains were slow to drain, the Television set is from 1981, and the upholstery was ugly and stained. The staff was not too helpful about resolving any of these issues. Slow response if any. Not worth the High price they charge for this hotel.

The carpet (was white at one time) appeared dirty, the bathroom had not been cleaned very well. We did have a good breakfast but it was out ragiously expensive. The furniture is worn so along with the dirty carpet it appears dirty.

Pros: - Huge windows in the room. You can see everything! - The front desk staff - very welcoming and friendly. She gave us lots of great suggestions on restaurants and bars in the area. - Sun Dial Restaurant/Bar was really impressive. We visited the area but did not have a chance to try the food so I cannot comment on that. Its great to look at, however. Cons: - No free wi fi in rooms. I think we paid enough to stay in the hotel to deserve free wi fi out of the deal! - Parking- Its outrageous! $30 for 24 hours. Okay, its convenient and all and maybe it would be worth it if there was security..... But, be aware, there is no security! Two vehicles were broken into on the fifth floor of the garage in the middle of the afternoon. The windows were broken and items were stolen out of the vehicles. Might as well just park down the street for $10 and save the extra money to help replace everything that gets stolen! - Beds are a little bit less than what I expected in comfort. Still plenty fine, but I do think I've had more comfortable beds in hotels with less stars before. Overall, I'm happy with my stay. We had a great time in Atlanta. Great location and awesome views of the city!
