My room was much bigger than what I needed. People in the reception were not friendly at all, but they allowed me to check out at 2pm. The room furniture is old and needs some refurbishment, however, it was still a very good deal given the location, room facilities, and of course the rates

Continental breakfast included, close to lots of restaurants on M Street. Rooms are actually small apartments. Kitchen in ours was fully equipped but in a poor condition. Fridge was noisy and water tank in the bathroom would get stack after every flush. On the other hand, beds were rather comfortable and there was a TV in both the living room and bedroom. Good for families with kids.

  • Great rooms, nice staff, caters to Peace Corps and international guests

I stayed in a studio suite, and my son in a suite. Decent sized rooms with comfortable furniture and nice beds. I had a great kitchen. Excellent breakfast. TERRIFIC location. The lobby is small, but the breakfast area generous. In general, the private spaces are much nicer and more spacious than the public spaces (this is good, IMO). Many people staying there are fairly long term (week or month), so that gives it a different flavor than most large hotel chains. Peace Corps and other organizations have permanent rooms rented for rotating guests, so it has a markedly young, international flavor to the guests. The staff was very friendly and helpful, if a bit harried. They got to know you instantly, which was nice.

  • Staff and facilities are outstanding.

My initial visit to Georgetown Suites was when my son was visiting colleges in teh DC area. The staff at the hotel was more than helpful, our suite was comfortable and convienent to walking to our destinations. Now that my son has decided to attend The George Washington University, I will become a frequent visitor to the Georgetown suites, I'm sure the service will only repeat itself with pleasant accommodations.

It's old but clean and comfy. Good location(away from a Metro station, though). Quiet. Bit cold while I was staying. You'll get kitchen and dining space, so if you are staying longer, this hotel might be the best choice. People were nice and friendly. Check-in and out were very smooth.
