Staying at the George Washington Inn was by far one of the best travel experiences I've had in a very long time. We found the inn to be very quaint; check-in was a breeze; our room was very clean and tidy, and the location was very convenient for getting around. We dropped our bags and immediately walked to visit some of the shops and restaurants in the area and took a tour the George Washington University campus. If you need to get to other areas, the inn is located approximately 2 1/2 blocks from the Metro (Foggy Bottom Station).

We'd been looking for a hotel with suite-style rooms that were affordable (yet not divey), and it looks like we found the perfect place. They're spacious mini apartments complete with a living room, a separate bed room a small bathroom and kitchenette (with a microwave, a two-burner stove and a mini-refrigerator). I'll definitely be returning.

The hotel is comfortable and quiet - sometimes hard to find in a city. About 2 blocks from the Kennedy Center and 5 from the Metro. (You can get a shuttle from Kennedy to the metro if walking is difficult.)
The rooms have a fridge/micro combination appliance as well as the ubiquitous coffee maker. Beds were the best I ever slept in!

The hotel was in a good location, close to Washington Circle and in Foggy Bottom. Our room was clean and very spacious for a standard room. The beds were also comfortable. My only complaint was that it was hard to find. There is not a huge sign or over hang to show you were it is, so when you are driving it can be hard to see from the car. (It is located right across the street from the doubletree hotel.) We would definetly stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was wonderful and the price was even better. Very large, spacious rooms that overlooked the courtyard. Plenty of room for 3 girls and all their clothes!! If you want an internet connection, do not stay here, we could not get one unless we went downstairs in the lobby.

Had a wonderful stay at the GW Univ Inn. The staff were more than cordial, kept our car in valet parking for the entire day even though we had already checked out in the am, gave us numerous suggestions and directions and were all over fantastic. The rooms were clean, large.... and we got chocolates! Loved the entire experience and would definitely stay there again.
