We stayed here with our 12 year old during a 5 day trip to DC. The rooms were very comfortable, and the hotel is very convenient to the Metro. Our room had a microwave and small refrigerator which came in handy. We would definitely consider staying here again during our next trip to the DC area. The entire staff was helpful and very friendly.

This hotel was probably built in the 1950s, are there is little to recommend it architecturally; however, the white marble floor in the lobby, the eager, attentive, and polite personnel, the well-maintained and large room, nice neighborhood, and the location a block from the Foggy Bottom subway station and short walk to Kennedy Center made this a good find for me. The mismatched toilet-tank cover and minor signs of wear were acceptable trade-offs for a decent room price ($*/night).

I stayed for one evening. Though I called ahead and told them I would be checking in extremely late, the staff was very accomodating and friendly. Room was larger than expected with a hint of charm. The heat in the room was nothing short of intense and amazing (manual control). Valet parking appeared to be a bit confusing but just tossed my keys to the guy and the car was available within seconds the next morning. Nice place to stay for an in and out overnighter. Nothing fancy yet pleasant.

I needed to be close to Kennedy Center and to the Metro, i.e. walking distance. This location in the Foggy Bottom area was just right. The hotel is clean, suites are large (larger than I needed as an individual) and comfortable. Functional, effective, affordable, and comfortable are among the words that come to mind. (Often the heating & cooling systems older buildings like this one are ineffective and noisy, but on one of the record cold days in DC, this was quiet, effective, and "outt'a sight, outt'a mind.)

We stayed here during Our Family Summer 08, It is very close to the subway 2 blocks, The Desk Staff was very helpful. We had a little oops with our reservations, they made it acceptable with-in minutes and right with in 2 days of a 9 day stay. The location is walking distance to lots of sites, The Mall (13blks) Whitehouse (7 blks) Plenty of Resturants with in walking distance. The Staff was very attentative and always smiling. It was a great trip with their help!!!!
