This hotel was so close to everything we wanted to do in NYC. Staff were all very friendly, especially the housekeeping staff. Hotel is a bit older (bathrooms and hallways were a bit dingy) but it seems like they've made a good effort to update it. Decent value for the location.

We are a Hilton Gold Status. We love staying at your Hiltons & your other hotels. We love the Hilton especially because of the exsecutive room. Some are better than others but on the over all they are good. Your ones in Europe are especailly good. The New York one was OK.

Good hotel and I would stay there again but would still shop around a bit more now that I know more about vacationing in New York City. There were three concerns. One, the check line was really long, but they did take our baggage before check in time 3pm which allowed us for us to enjoy the city without carrying all of our items. Second, I was not aware that using the gym and wireless internet was going to be an additional cost. Lastly, do not eat breakfast offered at the hotel it is way to costly. Truly way over priced. Walk outside and find a restaurant around the corner.

While the price for this hotel set me back at first, I soon realized that for a Manhattan hotel a few blocks from Central Park it was a deal. We went to NYC for our first time to celebrate my wife's birthday, and we were very impressed with the hotel and the city in general. The hotel is central to all that midtown has to offer. You are close to Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, NBC studios, Times Square, and a myriad of other attractions. The subway is close, with three stations within easy walking distance. It took about 20 minutes or so to get here from Laguardia, which was not bad considering the traffic. CHECKIN: Checkin was relatively smooth. We arrived early and were told that the room was not yet ready. We checked our bags and were about to go for lunch when I received a call that the room was ready (about 5 minutes after they said it was not). A minor inconvenience, but nothing too bad. The room was very clean aside from a long black hair on the toilet. While I know it is impossible to get every hair every time, this one was obvious and gross. The rest of the room was great. We were on the 39th floor and had a great view. We could even see a bit of the park. FOOD: We did not eat at the restaurant at the hotel. I mean, come on, I am here to see New York, and not eat hotel food. Since we upgraded to an executive level, we were privy to the executive lounge where they had snacks from 5-7pm. It was okay, but the lounge was so packed we only went there the first night. The bartender was great and made great drinks but, as is everything else in the city, the drinks were very expensive (expect $12-$18 per drink. Overall, the hotel was great for the price, and had great location. Were I to vacation in midtown again, I would probably stay here one more time.

My two granddaughters and I spent the night. Check in was quick and pleasant. The room was large, quiet and very comfortable. The bathroom was large. The two double beds were very comfortable. The HD TV offered a multitude of channels. The housekeeping dept checked to make sure we had everything we needed. The parking attendant was also pleasant. I've stayed at this Hilton before but this time the service was above what I had experienced before. Definitely recommend.
