If you need more than two beds because you are a family of five, I would suggest staying somewhere else. My husband and I ended up on the pull out sofa bed because we needed to put our kids to bed in the adjoining bedroom so we could have some peace and quiet after a long day in the car. One, we could hear not only our neighbors but the elevators and the people above us who sounded like they were bowling with small children. Two, not only was the pull out bed not attached to one side of the sofa therefore making it wonky it was the worst pull out sofa bed I have ever slept on. You have to use your room key to use the elevators which would not have been a big deal if the key had worked 80% of the time. We ended up taking the stairs a lot which may not sound like a big deal but we were on the 11th floor. We actually left a day early just so we didn't have to stay there another night. In the defense of the hotel, they were packed full while we were there. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was spacious and clean and had it just been my husband and I, it probably would have been fine. The beds the kids slept on seemed comfy enough. Also, for a city as old as Philly, I was kinda hoping for something with a little more character. It is a mile to see all the BIG attractions (Liberty Bell, Indepence Hall, etc..) and if you have a five year old that can be a very long walk! I do recommend checking out a restaurant called The Dandelion on 18th street, absolutely excellent food and the kids loved it too!

  • Hotel with a nice view and a great omelet for breakfast.

I travel a lot, and I'm very picky, but this experience was great. The staff was very polite, the suite was pretty big. The suite had a fridge and balcony, and there was free draft beer in the lobby when we arrived. What more could you ask for? Well, in-room dining would be nice, but there are so many excellent nearby places to eat that I didn't miss it.

We love returning to embassy suites but the carpet requires deep cleaning and a little more room fresherner.
