They wanted to charge a $7/night fee for parking, even though I had a package deal that included free parking for up to 14 days. I had to speak to a mgr. to waive the charge. Worst of all was when we returned from our trip and had to wait 70 minutes at the airport for the shuttle to pick us up. Very frustrating when you see all of the other hotel shuttles drive by multiple times, and we're waiting and waiting. The best they could do was offer us a free drink at the bar for our trouble. Last thing I wanted to do was to stick around at that point for a drink.

The hotel suite was very nice. Peggy at the front desk went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. The only negative was the speed of the elevators and the restaurant at breakfast. They could have used more staff to keep on top of cleaning the tables and replenishing the food.
Clean but I won't stay here again.01/01/2013

If you need more than two beds because you are a family of five, I would suggest staying somewhere else. My husband and I ended up on the pull out sofa bed because we needed to put our kids to bed in the adjoining bedroom so we could have some peace and quiet after a long day in the car. One, we could hear not only our neighbors but the elevators and the people above us who sounded like they were bowling with small children. Two, not only was the pull out bed not attached to one side of the sofa therefore making it wonky it was the worst pull out sofa bed I have ever slept on. You have to use your room key to use the elevators which would not have been a big deal if the key had worked 80% of the time. We ended up taking the stairs a lot which may not sound like a big deal but we were on the 11th floor. We actually left a day early just so we didn't have to stay there another night. In the defense of the hotel, they were packed full while we were there. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was spacious and clean and had it just been my husband and I, it probably would have been fine. The beds the kids slept on seemed comfy enough. Also, for a city as old as Philly, I was kinda hoping for something with a little more character. It is a mile to see all the BIG attractions (Liberty Bell, Indepence Hall, etc..) and if you have a five year old that can be a very long walk! I do recommend checking out a restaurant called The Dandelion on 18th street, absolutely excellent food and the kids loved it too!
