the hotel is located right in the middle of the action, just a block from the beach and they give you everything (towels, chairs) if you go. The room was a bit small but very comfortable and clean. The bath were rather small but again clean. The only complaint I have is the crowds getting in/out of their rooms late at night but that you can't control anyway

I went on a quick four day trip with my sweetheart and we had a terrific time staying at the Blue Moon Hotel. The staff is lovely and polite and very helpful. The room is clean and more spacious than you would have guessed from some of the other reviews. It is certainly not posh but that is to be expected from an older hotel. The housekeeping is great, the room was always neat and tidy with fresh sheets and towels each day. Breakfast is lovely with homemade waffles (you make 'em yourself!) and other choices for a quick breakfast on the go! I would definitely stay at the Blue Moon in the future and would recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a few days to South Beach.

If you like a bed that slopes toward the middle, this is the place for you. The pillows are terrible. They are nothing but foam squares-not really pillows. Asked for different ones at the front desk but these are the only ones available. No light in walk-in closet. Safe is on a shelf in the dark, walk-in closet 7 feet off the floor. Had to get a chair to stand on to see if anything was still in the safe when we checked out. Safe combo first digit did not light up and the other digits did not correspond to the numbers that were entered. Awakened early due to three different sets of fire alarms going off due to smoking toast in breakfast area two floors below. Breakfast was good (make sure you don't burn the toast or you will wake up everyone else in the hotel). They need to invest in new beds. Location was good-one block west of Ocean Ave between 9th and 10th Streets. I would look elsewhere next time.

I got what I paid for, a small room, small pool, cold breakfast. The advantage was that it was close to everything, could walk anywhere on South Beach just about, oh and bed was comfy. Would recommend only if not planning to spend much time in the room and want to be close to everything.
