Took my wife there for her bday. The reviews were spot on. The hotel is different. It is exotic. It is only 5 floors and not a lot of bells and whistles. However, it is very comfortable and very convenient. The 4 pm check in, noon check out, extra fee for the japanese soaking tub, and 26$ per day parking are the only complaints. Wife and I had a great time.

this was our 5th stay at this hotel. It is really lovely and the staff is wonderful. It's located right in the heart of Coconut Grove - a fun place to just poke around and shop and of course eat! The rooftop pool and bar was new to us this time around - very nice. The restaurant has been redone since our last visit - also very good. All of the rooms are odd shaped so you never get the same thing twice. This year we had one on the top floor with a huge bathroom. The Mayfair is a beautiful place to stay with many very "nice touches". We will of course be back.

Staff and service were topnotch. Room was clean with a great bed. Just to be picky, one elevator ran slow and there was one overy small chip in the tile in the bathroom. The private balcony was a real treat for morning yoga. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased.

My Wife and I stayed here for a few days for our 1st anniversary and both were mildly surprised. The hotel comped our in-room on balcony "Japanese soaking tub" for our stay for our anniversary occasion. The hotel has unique old world feel as the rooms are centered around the tropical plant filled open air atrium. The room was great with the large balcony having the jacuzzi with the privacy of large tropical trees as a buffer from other rooms. The staff was nice and the roof top pool had a great view of the area.
