My wife and I drove to Orlando. Once we arrived at the Rosen Centre we had to park in a parking garage that was about half a mile from the only elevators. The staff refused to allow us to use a cart to transport our luggage to the room. We tend to bring a lot with us, so this meant multiple hikes back and forth to the car to unload. Once we got to the room, we found that we had unknowingly been booked in a room with two double beds. I called the desk and asked for something with a king and was refused. I found the staff to be unhelpful, condescending, rude and impatient. The one exception was an inappropriate attempt to flirt with me by the girl at the front desk, which I found presumptuous and disrespectful. Another disappointment with this hotel was the paper thin walls. I had a restless night's sleep listening to people talking in the rooms around us and others running up and down the halls. The room had the smallest mini refrigerator I've ever seen. It also had no microwave. The room itself was also very small and contained very little in the way of information about the hotel and its services. I would not recommend the Rosen Centre.

I wanted to take my daughter for a Florida vacation, but didn't want to limit the trip to Disney. (Plus Disney resort prices are pretty ridiculous.) The Rosen Centre was PERFECT! We went to Sea World, Universal Studios and Disney, and The Rosen Center was the perfect place to stay for our vacation. First off, our flight was cancelled on the night we were supposed to arrive, and I spoke with a very friendly girl at the front desk named Crystal - she was very helpful and friendly on the phone, and also when she checked us in the next morning! The hotel lobby is very nice and serves as a great first impression when you walk into the hotel. When we got to our room, it was immaculate and had everything that suited our needs - plenty of drawer space, a nicely sized closet, a desk and a mini fridge. The beds were comfortable for the most part, except there were no comforters! There were blankets in the closet though, so we ended up being warm enough. (Plus we're from NH, so a 50 degree night in February is pretty much a heat wave to us!) The only think I would say about the rooms is that the walls are a little thin. Other than that, I really have no complaints. Another good thing about the hotel is that there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance, or a short trolley ride away. We didn't actually get to eat in the hotel until our last night there, where we enjoyed the buffet at Cafe Gaugin...and I emphasize the word enjoyed! Not only was the wait staff attentive and friendly, but the food was great! We had experienced the Golden Corral for the first time a few nights earlier (a scary experience, to say the least!) so we were pleasantly surprised by the offerings at Cafe Gaugin - prime rib, pork loin, swordfish...plus a great salad bar and don't even get me started on the desserts! The pork was a little on the dry side, but still tasty - it's hard to keep pork moist on a buffet line- but everything else was perfection. As for getting around to all of the theme parks, don't be discouraged that there is no specific shuttle bus (not that we saw, anyway) to get you to the parks - you can still get where you need to go easily and affordably- here are my tips: SeaWorld - this is super easy. Wait for the Southbound Red Line I-Ride Trolley at the stop right in front of the hotel - this will bring you right to SeaWorld! Universal Studios - this one was a bit more tricky, but here's what we did... we took the northbound green line to Wet n Wild and picked up a cab there- it only cost about $6 for the cab ride doing it that way. Check out the Lynx bus schedule too though- we weren't quite familiar with the bus system when we went so there may be a simpler way to get there by bus. Disney- once again, take the Southbound Redline I-Ride Trolley to stop 32 (right outside of the parking lot to SeaWorld). Cross the street and wait at the bus/trolley stop in front of the Renaissance hotel- you're looking for the number 50 Lynx bus. This will take you to the Transportation & Ticket Center at Disney, where you can take the monorail or ferry to which ever park you are going to. I've heard people say that it takes a really long time to do it this way, but it really didn't seem to take that long- maybe 45 minutes tops. We did take cabs back from each of the parks at night, but if you want to save money and have the patience to wait for the bus, I'd say do it...the cab ride from Disney was about $45 with the tip. (Universal was closer to $30 including tip). All in all, I found Rosen Centre to be the perfect place to stay for everything we wanted to do in Orlando. It has the reputation for being a convention/business hotel (and there were plenty of people there for that purpose too!) but it is just as suitable for a nice vacation get away as well. I would absolutely recommend it!

Nice Hotel Great choice of food -from subs to go to Tapas to sushi to high end steaks. Pool was nice, great spa and fitness. Had everything I needed and was what I would expect from a 4 star facility. I read some reviews and saw people complain about $16 self park and $20 valet. What a joke. Most 4 star hotels charge $30 Valet Only. If you want to self park for free look for a lower quality (star rating hotel) . This is a great hotel.

I was really impressed with this hotel. I got it as a secret deal so I didn't have the option to pick what room I wanted, etc so when I got there they didn't have any king bed rooms, but instead upgraded the room. I thought that was very nice of them. The room itself was very nice and the beds were comfortable. I did think it was weird there was a sitting area with a TV but no couch, just 2 chairs. Not very comfortable so we hung out on our beds, but the TV was smallish and on the other side of the sitting room, which wasn't that bad, but still a weird set up. We ate at the cafe for breakfast and it was very nice, if a little pricey. We also used the self parking, which was in a garage and seemed very safe but cost $13. Overall, the hotel and amenities were very nice and way more than we expected. I would definitely stay again.

  • Great deal on the price for this hotel.
