upon check in on 3/14, was greeted with a smile from the man behind the front desk. He went over the check-in information quickly and was off to room. On entering was not pleased with condition called, front desk was asked to comedown to recieve a new room, quickly was off to it. Was pleased with accomadations, much improved! In morning Monday, went to make coffee, to discover in horror floating debre where water should go. before leaving for day asked to replace it gave $* tip believe she said ok, girl spoke no english had to call hours later to replace it, new one had dirty pot. Went to pool bar asked for drinks seed as if made up prices $* Cape Cod- gray gose (ok), $* bottle water? asked for 1 can Corona recieved 2 cans Corona $*each. brought to beach very helpful there, asked waitress for 2 Corona $6 each.call around 1pm for towels, recieved 2 hours later, I still tipped $*. next day Tuesday, I placed a "do not disturb" on door was woke twice, 9:30am and 9:45am. . next morning, Wednesday, left $* tip. next morning Thursday, started to pack noticed was missing plastic bag with dirty (3) underware, (2) socks was missing. call housekeeping asked for supervisor girl said they would call me after 10 minutes I called back asked to speak to supervisor girl can you wait 10 minutes were very busy I said no have to check out n catch a plane. supervisor came to room I explain. said she would bring girl here that she didn't take it. after 10 minutes went to check out. told man at counter, left my business card he said he would call, has yet to do so. balcony door no lock on it

I stayed at the Deauville several times and would not change it for another hotel in Miami Beach. It has the charm of the 60s and the fact that The Beatles stayed there makes it more charming. You can literally walk where The Beatles have tread. As a special treat the hotel's close circuit TV will show you the documentary non-stop. It has an unsurpassed beach and pool with excellent bar and towel service. The building is typically 60s so as soon as you enter the hotel lobby it seems you have traveled in a time machine to show you the highest end the 60s had to offer. The rooms are spacious and have been remodeled into a neutral classic and the bathrooms are comfortable and clean. The beds are superb. I have always stayed at the beach view rooms. The Deauville is within walking distance to stores, restaurants, coffee places and car rentals. If you rented a car at the airport there will be a very efficient valet parking service when you get there. You definitely get the best value for you money. I give it a 4 because the hallways and other less significant sections of the hotel need updating which I believe they will eventually get. However I would not change the beach this hotel has for better decoration anywhere else. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Let me just start by saying that I LOVE THIS HOTEL.I have stayed there several times. It is prefect for a weekend at the beach. Rooms are not a big deal but how cares when you have a huge pool & the beach as soon as you go downstair. One little thing.. Don't drive there because the valet parking is always full and when you are finally able to get your car parked they charge you $15.00 a day... VALET employees are rude & their customer service is horrible... Other than that the hotel is AWESOME !!!!
