On our recent trip to Atlanta, my husband and I wanted to visit with friends and see some of the downtown attractions. Ths hotel is located downtown and provided a great central location for doing both. We visited the aquarium, IKEA, Trader Joe's, and friends that lived in Decatur and little 5 Points. The hotel did not have a lot of updated amenities, but overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and completely acommodating. Great location for a decent price.

Have to admit, was nervous after reading some of the reviews from previous visitors. However, my wife and i were more than satisfied with our stay for the price we paid. Yeah, there are little things with the hotel that are not **. For example, the various service buttons did not work on our phone, but pressing '0' worked just fine for any in house requests/needs. Room was clean, bathroom was large and perfecly fine. Health club was surprisingly nice and the hotel is in a fantastic location. Once again, don't expect the ritz, but we had a great stay. Oh, and staff was more than helpful despite being a busy weekend. We velet'd our car, so didn't endure the struggles posters have reported with regard to self park. (5 bucks extra to do this, so why not?)

I was somewhat concerned about the hotel since I read a few negative reviews, but my experience was pretty decent. My room was clean with a comfortable king sized bed. It had small refrigerator, a char, closet, nice bathroom and a desk and chair for the internet. You do not receive free internet and have to pay for it if interested. The TV reception was poor too. The TV and internet was unimportant to me since I was there for a three day conference. If your interested in a nice room and seeing some nice sites this hotel is reasonably priced and only two blocks from the MARTA train station. There is also a terrific Thai restaurant on 10th street practically right across from the hotel that is awesome. It was so good I went there twice to eat dinner.

Very poorly run/maintained hotel. First room stank. Second room was tolerable (AC was off, didn't have auto shut off when on; everything was past due for updating), however, entire hotel is poorly maintained. Furnishings are old and dingy. Hotel seemed dirty (e.g., space behind the front desk, elevators, etc.). Restaurant experience was especially disappointing and overpriced (buffet breakfast). Everything from the restaurant chairs to the appearance of the food to the taste of the food (even the coffee) was second rate. Staff were friendly, but were eating from the buffet the morning I was there. The whole experience was like a scene from Fawlty Towers or a hotel in a developing country that is trying to be something that it is not. The best thing that could be said about it is the location, but I would have gladly paid more for a hotel in a less good location that didn't seem as nasty.
