I would highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Washington DC. The locaiton is great for access to many of the highlights of the area, great staff, nice lounge and restaurant. Wonderful buffet breakfast.

When I have the option, I stay at this Westin. It is located in an area that makes my business meetings very accessible via cab or walking when the weather cooperates. The staff makes you feel welcome and takes care of anything that is needed.

This hotel is in the center of the city, but not close to metro or buses, so cabs are generally necessary. Not adjacent to restaurant areas either. 15 minute ride to Capitol hill or museums. 15 minute walk to White House, 10 minutes to Dupont circle restaurant area.

I doubt we could ever have afforded this during a work week, or when we weren't having a recession. This is a beautiful hotel; very plush and modern and professionally appointed. The bar and the resaturant were both a terrific experience as well. Nothing bad to say at all.

While the location is not very close to the metro, the hotel is very nice. The guest services desk is very welcoming and it has a starbucks bar in the lobby. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.
