I have been staying here since the early 90's through 4 franchise changes. The recent renovation is more South Beach Miami than Key West. The service is mediocre and the additional "resort fee" is disgraceful. It includes use of the fitness center, pool activities and service, and a variety of outdoor games....huh ? Like this is something I should pay extra for. How about just including in the cost of the room since there is no way to avoid the cost. This is a horrible practice and ridiculous. The best thing about this hotel by FAR ... Is the beach and location. Other than that, its just a resort hotel with mediocre amenities, too many screaming unsupervised kids (what are kids doing in KW anyway) and ok food. Never again in the summer when kids are out of school.

Stayed there in 2008 was beautiful then and is beautiful now. Not a better place to stay in the Key West. Close to downtown but quiet here. You only need a bike or walk if you like. Don't wast your money anywhere else. Great breakfast, daily drink specials. You really don't have to leave the place.

The staff were all wonderful and friendly. The hotel was clean and comfy. The Breakfast at the hotel was one of our favorite parts of the day. It was relaxed and scenic. We took our 2 yr old which we were apprehensive about but he loved it. We spent most of our days in the pool. Beautiful beach views. We just wanted to get away and relax and we did. Duval is a short walk away. Which we enjoyed.

Wonderful three days at the hotel. Exceptional service and great follow up detail with the staff. They accomodated us and went "beyond the call of duty". We were a small wedding party in the middle of a "tropical depression" very nervous and the staff allowed us the opportunity to enjoy the moment. From the front desk to the dinning staff thank you for everything.

This hotel is wonderful. We loved it because it was very pretty and modern and mostly because it has it's own private beach. There aren't many places with sandy beaches on the keys and this is one of them. Great location, close to many wonderful attractions i.e. butterfly garden. It's very clean, wonderful service, and great for kids or without. There is a pier on the property and you can sign up for excursions right there on the property. We took a dolphin/snorkel trip with our kids and the boat came and picked us up on the pier of the hotel! We didn't have to leave the property to find the many options of trips. I am definitely planning to go back and would recommend it to anyone!
