    We stayed at the Sheraton for 2 nights. For us it was a finish up to our Florida trip after visiting with family further south. We jsut kicked back at the Sheraton for 2 days and did not go to any attractions as we are coming back for 1 week next August. The room was inexpensive and very clean. The bed pretty comfortable. We had an older room, that was in real nice shape. We are pretty picky with where we stay and this was a good experience. We looked at the newer rooms and they are beautiful. They are in the process of remodeling the older buildings. The construction does not interfere with your stay. The pools are clean and large and numerous. We traveled with and 8 and 13 year old. They loved the place.There are a lot of activities for the young ones. There is a good amount for the grown ups to do also. Most of everything you need is on premise. If not, eateries and stores are very close by. As far as the time share thing. Yes they do try to get you to go to a meeting. We politely declined 2 times. I unplugged my phone overnight just in case they tried to call us early in the morning. The employees are numerous and very helpful. Anywhere you walk there is someone to offer assistance or just to say hello. What a great place. We rate it very high. We will give it thumbs up everywhere. Dont let the time share sales sway you away. Its part of business these days in resort areas. If you're smart you can use these meetings to save a lot of $$. We did it in Hawaii and got over $500 in savings on things .

    After spending over three hours researching hotels, i decided on the sheraton vistanas resort. although this resort had been awarded four out of five stars, i was still concerned about ...

    After spending over three hours researching hotels, I decided on the Sheraton Vistanas Resort. Although this resort had been awarded four out of five stars, I was still concerned about a few aspects, due to some reviews. All of my apprehensions proved unwarranted. First, I read that the checking in process was brutal. I read that checking in before 4:00 wasn't permitted, and that the entire process took 45 minutes. We arrived at 3:20. I waited in a line for less than ten minutes before I reached a clerk. Second, I read that the personnel at the desk were rude, and relentless in pushing the time share. I couldn't disagree more. After a very easy check-in, the clerk gave me a package full of great coupons and maps to the area. At the end, he mentioned the time share presentation, and I said that I wasn't interested. He simply asked why, and I stated that our stay was short and that we wanted to maximize our time. He gave me his number in case I changed my mind, and that was the end of it. I did receive a call at 9:00 the next morning, but it was very brief. Third, we were told that the rooms were sub-par. I also read to request Fountains or Lakeside, and NOT the Cascades. Evidently, the Cascades were the last buildings built, but have not yet been renovated. Anyways, we stayed in the Fountains. It was fantasitic!!!! I can't imagine it being any nicer. There are no shampoo or toiletries in the room, so we need need to take a trip to the market store at the resort. A big bottle of shampoo was $2.99, so I appreciated the fact that we weren't gouged. Hence, we'll be back!

    I brought my Grandson to the area to visit various attractions and also a Space Shuttle Launch: I needed a clean, safe place to stay with a young child: We were at the KSC two nights and had to sleep all day afterwards and the staff and housekeeping were great in working around our schdule: The room was neat, clean and I appreciated the guarded gates and the privacy of the facility in this congested Orlando Resort Area: The food and market place available on site as well as the recreation were excellent: The staff from check-in to the people at the restaurants were great : The villas were well equiped and we definately will return on subsequent trips to Orlando:
