We went for a staycation weekend and had a great time. Resort is conveniently located to many restaurants and Downtown Disney but you don't even have to leave the resort. The kids had a great time swimming in the pools and going down the RIP SLIDE which was very inexpensive. The games at the pool were fun for them as well. The rooms were very nice and clean and very well kept up. The Fountains area with the A&W, Pizza Hut and KFC was very convenient for lunch while hanging at the pool.

The good: nice rooms, clean and comfortable. There are many pools and kids activities. The bad: beware to the phone call offering you a welcome kit at registration desk. You get a bag of coffee and a very intense resort sales pitch. That is very annoying and deceptive.

Our stay was 'fine' since we were actually at the resort very little. The staff was dismissive when we arrived off a red eye flight, holding rigid to the late afternoon check in policy, so we had to take the kids to the pool locker room to change clothes and then head up to WDW without having the opportunity to unpack or relax a little (although I had called ahead to ask if an early check in would be possible, and they said they would note it on our account). When we finally did get into our room, we were hungry and ready to make a quick dinner and call it a day. The stove did not work. We called maintenance and were assured it would be handled promptly. An hour later they had not arrived and we called again. At this point they told us it could be another hour. I went to the reception area to try to change rooms. They let us change, but the new room was on the opposite side of the resort. I went back up to the original room to find maintenance there, and thankfully we did not end up changing rooms. Throughout this whole ordeal (with 2 exhausted children and 2 very edgy parents), staff treated us as if we were a hassle and we were never offered any sort of compensation for the inconvenience. The rest of the stay was uneventful. The room was pretty outdated and the latch on the door did not work properly, so we had to triple check every time we used to ensure that it had actually closed. The proximity to WDW was nice, but I wouldn't recommend staying here.
