Excellent for U of Miami/Orange Bowl proximity.

Superb location if you are going to visit the U of Miami and attend a game at the Orange Bowl. Food is nearby: Subway, Burger King within walking distance and many other nicer restaurants within easy driving distance. Train statiion is across the street to get to the Orange Bowl (train ride to bus to stadium and back in reverse, $2/each way) - NO hassle parking a vehicle (OB has no nearby parking). U of Miami is several miles down Hwy 1 with access to bookstore and Canes Store for U of Miami clothing. Hotel is clean and reasonably priced. Staff was wonderful and helped us out when one of us got sick on the day of checkout. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel in a great location

We stayed here because it was 3 blocks from our daughter's house and it had free parking. Other hotels in the area either do not have parking, or charge *$ per day for valet. Very nice hotel in a good location for travel to Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, UofM or even downtown. Not near the beach. The parking is excellent with some above street level behind the hotel in a fenced area, but most is underground in a gate-access area. The hotel is located in a residential area, one block off of Highway 1. You can walk across the street to a Pollo Tropical restaraunt and there is a large Shell gas station and convenience store there also. The hotel serves a very good breakfast. This is definitely where we will stay when we come to visit our daughter in Coconut Grove. I have only two issues: only one of two elevators was running (minor inconvenience) and the Business Center printer did not work, but the staff let me use their computer and printer to print our boarding passes, very nice people.

We stayed here on business and it was refreshing that the whole staff spoke English and all were very helpful. We try to stay at Hampton Inns every week because we can count on their quality rooms, beds and linens, It has all of the qualities of home including a nice variety for breakfast. We enjoyed the Coconut Grove area with fine dining and quaint shops.

We stayed here prior leaving on our cruise. We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Coco Walk and even though it was close by, it's surrounding area isn't the greatest due to construction of a large building right outside our window.. I would stay here again though. Staff very helpful and friendly.
