This hotel made us feel as is we were the only customers staying there12/22/2011
I would definitely recommend this hotel. our stay was excellent especially after a long day to go back to a clean comfortable room is one less worry.

The rooms were noisy. The ar conditioning was loud and noisy. I felt like I was just someone filling the room - I did not have any sense of being special or particularly welcome. I stay in hotels all over the world at least a week to two weeks a month. For the price, this was not worth it when I look at value for money at other hotels I have stayed at in Washington, DC and elsewhere in the US, Europe, Afrcia and Asia. I would would not stay there again or recommend it to a friend.
Excellent for business travelers, first rate.08/10/2011

What a great hotel, and a solid experience from start to finish. Room was incredible, clean, well-appointed and comfortable. The bed was a Murphy bed, and decently comfortable. Service was excellent and attentive, food was very good. Overall, loved the stay, would stay there again if company paying - it's over my personal budget, but fantastic. The sofa in my room was awesome, bathroom was good, though a bit odd - they'd added tile, so it was a full 2" higher than the room floor, which made the counter & sink height a bit low, but not annoyingly low, just odd.

I was visiting Washington by myself and needed a place that was within walking distance of all the sights. The Madison is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the National Mall. The hotel met all my needs and has many places to dine at close by.

Nice hotel with spacious room. The bed was very comfortable and made for a great night's sleep after seeing the sites of Washington. The bathroom was a bit dated. The water in the shower was lukewarm always and sometimes the water pressure left something to be desired.' The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. You had to pay a per minute fee to use the hotel computer to use the internet (Very annoying for having to make travel arrangements). It was about three blocks from the closest Metro station. If you're looking for a comfortable hotel to stay at while touring DC and can walk to the metro its a good location. There were always cabs at the curb as well but taxi travel around DC is expensive due to traffic. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Madison but it left me wanting a bit more.
