This hotel was convenient to everything we wanted to do. We walked to the theatre, shopping, subway, attractions. The room was confortable, nicely decorated and the beds were very comfy - we slept great! The bathroom was small, but had beautiful ceramic tile. While we did not use the kitchenette, it would be great for saving on meals, especially since there was a grocery store on the corner of the block. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to NYC.

This hotel is small for New York and on a relatively quiet part of 48th St. so no problem with sleeping. It is very close to both blue and red subway lines and theater district. Staff was very efficient and polite with no problems at check in. We had a newly refurbished room which was very clean and attractive. Rooms in New York are small and this is no exception, our queen bed filled most of the main area. Bathroom was very nice with new marble and bath fixtures, excellent lighting and lots of hot water. Excellent/fast Internet connection. Negatives include thin doors to the hallway so when people passed by it sounded like the door was open. Also the halls were somewhat small and dingy looking. I would have used brighter colors to make them look larger. Overall a great stay and I would stay there again.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is located in the Theatre District at 48th and 8th - close it everything, but a couple of blocks away from the noise and crowds of Times Square. Clean rooms. Friendly staff.

PERFECT location, a few blocks from Time Square and within walking distance of many hot spots. You can use hotel to help book a local tour or just walk a couple blocks and see a corner vendor. Room was very clean and nice enough size. Bed was the best I've ever had in a hotel and the shower (water pressure) was amazing. Price was fair and nights were quiet despite being so close to the action. Staff was friendly, accomodating and helpful. The only two drawbacks were the slow elevators and the granite floor in the bathroom was so clean and shiny it was very slippery but, I will definitely be back at the Belvedere for next years trip. : ) (picture is view from our room)
