this hotel was a simple 1 1/2 block walk to Broadway, 2 block walk to times square and subway. any theatre for any show was a simple 2-4 block walk. the hotel itself was very classy. staff and housekeeping were BEST!!! my only complaint was that i was billed extra for wireless internet. really? i would definitely send my friends to this hotel.

Find a high quality yet inexpensive hotel in New York City is an ordeal, and there's no getting around that. But the Belvedere Hotel is a rare find. The location, service, and price all set it apart from the slew of hotel choices in Manhattan. The hotel staff greeted us as soon as we arrived, which was much earlier than scheduled, and they were so helpful right from the start. Our room was inexpensive, comfortable, and very clean. Our group of four all fit nicely in a standard room with two double beds, and we had a fantastic weekend! The hotel location is fantastic - just a few blocks away from Times Square, and easily walkable to all the Midtown sights. Not to mention, entry to two major subway lines just a block or two away. Highly recommend!

The hotel is in a great location and provided us with great service. It is an old hotel with central hot water heat which had not been turned on yet. We told them we were cold and they provided space heater which did the job. Good little pizza restaurant just down the block. We did not try the hotel restaurant.

I like this hotel because of the location, as it is close to Times Square but two blocks away so it is quiet. Though it has been renovated, it is very quaint and reminds me of the 60's. That being said, the bathrooms are TINY and hard to negotiate. When I was there three years ago, my daughter and I stayed in an Executive King room, and the bathroom was re-modeled and a good size. This time, however, there were three of us and we needed a room with two double beds. I made the mistake of booking a standard room and thus...got the TINY bathroom. Overall, the hotel is VERY clean and the staff is very friendly. Our room was always clean when we returned. I would highly recommend this hotel, but spend a bit more and get the bigger bathroom!!
