The staff was amazing - everyone was incredibly helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The room was very clean and quiet. Only drawbacks was that no room service was available and the hotel did not have a restaraunt or bar. Also the continental breakfast was average at best and was way overpriced for the quality. Also the Wi-fi is not free. The only free internet is in 10 minute increments which was not long enough to even print our boarding passes for our flight. Overall it was good but I'd consider staying again.

We enjoyed our stay at The Belvedere Hotel, Times Square. The location was fantastic because we were close to the Theatre District, great ethnic restaurants and within walking distance to many of the sights in Manhatten. It was about two blocks off the beaten path of people traffic, thus a quiet evening in our Hotel room. Our room was absolutely lovely with a nice view from the 14th floor. We enjoyed a King size bed and room with plenty of space to relax and arrange our belongings during our stay. The staff was very friendly and wanted to assist with our every need or want while in NYC. However, the best part of our room was the small kitchenette with a coffee pot, refrigerator and microwave available to us . The Hotel provided a fresh brew packet of coffee daily. The kitchenette feature is not found on a regular basis in a NYC hotel; thus very welcomed and tasted great each morning without having to leave your room. I definately will return to this hotel and enjoy it's hospitality.

This place is definitely worth every penny. The location is a mere couple of blocks from Times Square, but far enough that there is not a large number of people on the streets outside the hotel at all hours of the day. Additionally, just next door to the hotel is a couple of great little restaurants. So, after a long day of walking around the city, there's no need to engage on another long trek just to find some food. The room is pretty spacious for a single room. There's enough room to comfortable move around the bed as well as a little sitting area by the window that looks out to the south at the city. The bathroom is excellent with the design of the fixtures and the look of the tile. The bed is large and extremely comfortable. There was no issue regarding noise or bugs or anything, so I would definitely say that this place is a good one. Although it was not in the room at the outset, my request for tea instead of coffee was promptly met, even though it was approximately 11pm at the time of the request. It might not look like much from the outside due to the fact that the building is a little bit older, this hotel is a hidden gem in New York and definitely worth checking out.

This is a decent, clean hotel in a great location. The location alone puts this place on my short list of where to stay in midtown. I always felt safe walking to and from The Belvedere. The front desk staff was reasonably friendly, as were the doormen (who unfortunately most of the time didn't hold the door, and many times were not even at the propped open door), but the bellhops were very friendly and efficient. The concierge was the only person truly lacking among the staff. What a pompous, unhelpful, and rather useless tool he was! The executive king room itself was clean, and spacious for NYC, with a full (ergo, small) tiled bathroom. There was a desk, large flat screen TV, chaise lounge, and spacious dressers, nightstands, and closet with in room safe. The elevators were never a problem, although road noise was pretty significant (as with any major city), even on upper levels (we were on 14), so bring ear plugs. There was no in room thermostat, but there was a window air conditioner, and we stayed comfortable when we were in the room. You are a 7 minute walk to Times Square/the subway, 4 minutes to Broadway, 10 minutes to Rockefeller, roughly 20 minutes to the Empire State Building and Central Park (in opposite directions, and there are dozens of restaurants surrounding you here. It doesn't get any better than this in terms of location, because you don't have to fight the Times Square crowd to get into the door of your hotel. Basic amenities, with an upscale effort. Two thumbs up.

Had to make a quick trip in NYC for a friend's function near the theater district. This was conveniently located. Plus the price was good for NYC. Room was nothing special, but was clean. No central air, room had noisy window unit, but at least it cooled the room down. Elevators were slow, used the stairs a lot, so request lower floor. Staff was friendly.
