In a city where you walk, walk, and then walk some more, it was great to be able to "run" home mid-day to change clothes or whatever. This hotel caters to business & family alike, but neither group seemed to mind the other. Staff seemed to take it all in stride. We swam in the pool with lots of other kids at the end of the day which was fun for my 12 year old. In-house restaurant was really, really good. Get to weekend brunch early to avoid the long line. The staff was very helpful when the internet didn't start up right away. They kept helping until we were up & running on-line. Worth the price.

We had trouble finding the hotel, which made us late for an event, so we didn't have time to use many amenities. Even with directions from Mapquest and two GPSs working, it was hard to find with the one-way streets, etc. Not their fault, yet frustrating. The room was nice but not memorable. We were very surprised there was no safe in the room.

Had a nice weekend stay here. The room was nice and clean. Our sink did have a crack in it and the exhaust fan didn't seem to work, but that didn't bother us. The staff was friendly and helpful. Nice location near the Capitol Building and Union Station. Only a few blocks to either of them. I would stay here again.

My grandson and I loved staying here. Having the tour pick up us right in front and being close to Union Station as well as the Capital made our days more enjoyable. The breakfast gave us wonderful choices and started our days energized. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and plan to return here on my next visit.

The Hyatt is a great hotel chain overall. I have been to this location a few times now because it is convenient for what we wanted to accomplish and to everything we wanted to see. Plus there is a liquor/convenience store right across the street on the corner! This time we stayed five nights. We had a two room suite because we were three people in the room so two shared the comfy king bed while I slept on the pull out couch which is just that, a pull out! It was better than expected but it was still a pull out! Otherwise, all was top notch! While visiting we were lucky enough to witness the secret service in action. We noticed it because while in the dining room for breakfast a lone guest was constantly scanning the room and softly talking away to no one as the first lady came through the hotel lobby to speak to a convention taking place. It wasn't any big deal, just business taking place while the rest of the customers didn't even notice and were not disturbed one bit! I enjoyed being there and will stay there again!
