It so happened that we checked in on the day of my wife's birthday. When the clerk heard this, she offerred us the choice of a cheese tray, a fruit bowl or a cold cut tray. Upon choosing the cheese tray, the clerk said "now we need to choose something to drink" and she offerred us some wine or champagne. My wife saud that the champagne was a little pricy and $34.00. With that, the clerk interruped to inform us that the champagne was also on the house. What a wonderful way to start our trip.

When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was how close we were to everything in DC - right down the street from the Capital building, just a couple streets over from 7th street, where all the restaurants are! Excellent DC location, especially for the price! The hotel itself was very nice, beds were very comfortable, and room was clean and updated. When we first checked in, the maids had left a couple of dirty towels in the bathroom, so we decided to get a different room - the front desk staff were very apologetic, and more than accomodating. They gave us a $50 credit to use at the hotel restaurant or bar for the mistake. Very nice. Checkout was painless, no long lines, very organized. All in all, a very pleasant stay - would highly recommend to anyone looking to do the DC tourist thing!

close to capitol and Union Station, made for easy sightseeing departing from Union Station. The staff was very helpful with the details. We were there nine days for the 4th of July, and each day was quite nice. Request a room on the back side near the pool, nice and quite after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel staff are very professional and do a great job.
