I would definitely return -- location is fantastic (4 blocks from Capitol, couple of blocks from Union Station). Art & Soul is across the street, and many other reputable eateries nearby. National Mall easily accessed by foot, and trolley stopped in front of hotel.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the Hyatt on Capitol Hill. We happened to be in DC the same weekend that Hurricane Irene came up the east coast. Considering the potential for drama, the hotel staff maintained a friendly and positive demeanor and were very helpful in terms of helping us arrange to find out where to get food and drinks when we decided to stay in for the night instead of braving the storm and going out on the town. And considering that there was a hurricane blowing through, we felt very safe and appreciated that we didn't loose power or experience any flooding/leaking in the hotel. The only negative is the lack of parking which is a problem in general in DC--we ended up using the long-term lot at Union Station, which was not too far and affordable.

Perfect location for touring the capitol. Amazing entrance and lobby area with a great Bar and Restaurant. Valet parking is a must. All of the monuments and museums within walking distance. Easy access to cabs. Liquor store right across the street and a nice breakfast/ lunch place next door with good food and decent prices.

It's centrally located, making it great for not having to drive. Nice resturaunts nearby. I felt the breakfast buffet was overpriced. The food was good, but we had just as good of breakfast at the West Wing Cafe near by for 1/3 the cost. If I was in DC again, I would definitely stay there again.
