This hotel has recently undergone renovations. The charm of the hotel has absolutely been preserved. To me, it was liking stepping back in time. I found the artwork, statues of interest, hotel decor to be completely charming and authentic. My room was like stepping back in time but completely current - if that makes sense. My bed was so very very comfortable. The location was perfect (Mid-town Manhatten) and the popular and historic Bull and Bear Pub was located right there at the hotel. I would stay again and I would recommend it 100%

Was well worth the extra money to have the experience in such an iconic hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We were able to walk to most of the sights we wanted to see, especially the shopping.

Second booking at Waldorf in NYC. I visit NYC 4-5 times per year and have been searching for my favorite hotel ~ definitely not the Waldorf! My first was at the Waldorf Astoria and being disappointed at that location, I thought I would pay more and tried the Waldorf Towers. Was to stay for a long weekend and shortly after seeing my room cancelled the rest of the trip at the Waldorf Towers and checked into the New York Palace (amazing). The rooms are so outdated even at the Waldorf Towers, the curtains and shades were horribly stained, dirt in corners, and towels that I would use to dry my cars. Their idea of a bidet was a sink sprayer attached to the side of the toilet with a hook (no kidding). Time and money are so valuable today and I will never book at this hotel again! In addition, I arrived at the hotel after 6:00 pm, and had to wait an hour as my room was not ready ~ really? Internet service was included for Tower guests on -line, however in order to get on line in my room, I had to enter a CC number. The front desk was unaware that their web-site listed free internet as a perk for the Towers ~ shall I go on?

We enjoyed our stay at the Waldorf Astoria over the Christmas holiday. We had a king-bed room which was small with old furnishings but comfortable. It was a corner room with an actual view (Room 1033). The lobby was always full of interesting people and the staff were always helpful and friendly. However, I wouldn't order room service again. After a long day we ordered a pizza and two small cokes from room service and the total bill came out to about $75.00. Also, you have to pay extra for internet access which is practically unheard of any more.
