This was a pleasant surprise for my first trip to New York. The rooms were nice and walking through the lobby you could stop and see things from the past. When we needed extra towels they were brought up within 5 minutes. The room service was excellent. The only problems I had was when we first checked in the lady at the service desk was rude until we gave her our credit card. Also there is no free internet. We had to pay 15.95 a day and as soon as the 24 hour period was up it was cut off. Other then that it was a great experience and we plan on going back this winter.

Front entrance was being remodeled and was closed - I did not learn about this during the booking process. Close to subway on Lexington. My friend was shocked at the price for 4 glasses of wine in the lobby bar.

The Waldorf is most unusual in that it is as advertised. It has charm, grace, and the atmosphere I hoped it would. I would highly recommend it to non-New Yorkers wanting a taste of the Big Apple.

I had a great experience from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. Customer service from every level of employee was the finest. The only drawback to this hotel is that for the money you pay wifi internet should be standard for every room. I can go to Mcdonalds buy a dollar burger and enjoy free wifi. This is a 5 star hotel with a price tag to match and they don't even offer something as small as free Wifi. For the price you pay a night wifi should not be an issue.
