I stayed at this hotel 7 years ago, it ws a very nice experience. Unfortunately a lot has changed in 7 years - this place has gone down hill significantly. Everything is in need of repair - the cleanliness of the place is well below what I would expect at an Embassy Suite. And to top it off, while looking over the court yard, I noticed in the planters that overhang the side of the walk ways, an incredible amount of roaches residing among the plants. What a dissapointment, this has good location and a structure that could make for a great experience. If your willing to put up with run down rooms that need a good cleaning, and roaches don't bother you - this is a great place to stay. Oh yea, the pool was under construction as well. This money would have been better spent on some new carpet or furniture.

The Embassy Suites Washington, DC on 22nd Street was very nice and clean. Rooms were large, beds were comfortable, and breakfast was nice but a little on the cool side for temperature. Would stay here again anytime if the price is right!

With a swimming pool, huge buffet breakfast, arcade room, koi ponds, and lots of room to roam in the common areas, this is a great launch pad for a family visit to D.C. And of course it's great to be able to sleep a family of 4 in one suite. I don't think there's a better deal out there.

This hotel was a great value for my family. The breakfast was great and free cocktail hours with munchies helped keep our eating out costs down. Security was very responsive when a party on New Year's Eve got too loud next door and woke us up. Neighborhood had glitzy shops in one direction and cheaper, quaint shopping in the other. 5 blocks to two metro stations, we used the subway for transportation. Would stay there again. Suite was comforable for 6 people, nice big bedroom and living room medium sized. Service was polite and responsive. Interesting part of town. Carpet were a little dusty and dirty, would not recommend for toddlers/crawlers. Beautiful atrium, but they keep it quite dark at night. It was unusually cold when we visited and the atrium was chilly also. GREAT workout room. Pool so-so. Hot Tub was out of order during part of our stay. We were disappointed that they charged extra to hook up to internet from the room. Had kiosks and business room for free computer use.

We spent Thanksgiving this year in DC. After looking over the hotels, for hours it seemed, I elected to try this Embassy Suites. I am so glad we gave it a shot. I consider my family to be middle class and I felt comfortable here with my kids. Sometimes when we go into a high end, really classy hotel I feel subconscious and I don't belong next to the millionaires. This hotel had an excellent breakfast. Included was made to order omlettes, waffles, pancakes, sausage/bacon, hard boiled eggs, pastries/breads gallore, cereals, and fruits. I think the only thing it didn't have was donuts. In the evening, they had great self-serve nachos and drinks- including alcohol for free. Yes, even the alcohol was free. They also play an evening movie for the kids. I saw kiddos of all ages in PJs morning and evenings, it was truly a family atmosphere. The pool and game room was a hit too. My kids somewhat felt like they were at camp with all the other kids around. The internet kiosk "pods" (3 to a pod) were readily available and offered printing for boarding passes or what have you. Very secure parking and yes take advantage of it. Dupont metro station is only up a couple of blocks. The Marriott and Ritz Carlton are right there too but I'd do ES before them. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Even with all the families, it was quiet. I never heard a peep in my room so acoustics are great. Oh, and the kids get to feed the Koi in the ponds in the atrium twice a day. Staff was so friendly. Bathrooms were granite and marble by the way. If you are looking for a family place- here!
