The designer of this hotel knew exactly where to invest. The bed was great and the shower/bathroom was a destination unto itself. If you are mainly concerned with continental breakfast or lobby decor you may be slightly disappointed. But hey, this is Austin, there are a multitude of places to eat and hang out. You won't get more bang for your buck anywhere.

The hotel is located S/E of downtown Austin but only a 5 to 10 minute drive to SoCo/downtown if you have a car. Parking is free. Our room was very nice, not your typical hotel chain room. The bed was very comfortable. The tiled shower was huge. The room was clean. No complaints.

I searched for 4star hotels in Austin. This hotel repeatedly showed on many searches. The " luxurious " rooms with Japanese style deep tubs and the French tubs are nice. I stayed in the regular room. The standard showers in each room are fun and separate from the tub. Seems more spacious than your average 4 star hotel. However, I never felt they cleaned well: Never cleaned used coffee cups, or the coffee maker. I got a bug bite, I did have the staff check the mattress and seemed OK, no black spots. The furniture looks better than functions. The top drawer of dresser is an empty space, the night stands have no drawers. The staff at Lobby are not well groomed. They have no bell hop. Easy access to highway if headed north. Overall, my stay was ok, safe, convenient to go to downtown. This hotel is more like a 3.5 star at best.

Recently stayed at this hotel over a weekend to attend a friend's wedding in Austin. Driving up to the hotel, this hotel has a very odd look and a little disheartening to see. Checking in at the front desk and in the lobby didn't calm my fears late on a Friday night. However, once we arrived in the rooms it was great. Room was clean, bed was soft which is all I can really ask for. The breakfast leaves a little to be desired, but there's a Starbucks just across the highway. Hotel and area looked slighly better the next morning walking outside. Would stay here again if the price was right.
