the only gripe was that the streets (soys) in the immediate proximity of the hotel are very narrow and lack sidewalks so walking on them takes a bit getting used to with all the cars and motobikes speeding by. The hotel is close to the sky train (5 minutes walk I am guessing), rather close to BNH hospital (maybe 10 minutes walking if you take a soy and not one of the main streets), the Lumpini park is not far either, just two stops away is the river where you can take a boat to lots of touristy as well as not so touristy places in the city. Of course (as practically anywhere in Bangkok) there's tons of street food and sellers around with abundance of fruits and what not, if that feels too hot or chaotic to you there are air conditioned restaurants on the Silom road. A little downside was the construction adjacent to the hotel - now it's noisy but this one has a chance of growing into a rather tall building which would make the rooms on that side of the hotel much less attractive by inhibiting a very nice (now) view of the city...

This hotel has everything you need at a good price. The room is nice the included breakfast is wonderful with many selections as well as chefs to customize your order. All the staffs were friendly spoke good English very helpful. I found the free internet provided with the room were fast and reliable this beat having to buy the time card like in some other hotels. The location is great. Just a short walk to the busy shopping and bar areas as well as accessing the sky train. Although located near busy area it was far enough from all the noise.

We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights and had a wonderful time. The location is very convenient to Chong Nonsi Sky Train and you can take a leisurely walk to Silom and Patpong area. If you are into walking its 30 minutes walk to the Night Bazaar at Sathorn and Rama IV. Once you get a hang of the location its convenient to all sights. Unfortunately we had limited mobility using the skytrain on our last two days due to the red-shirt strike although there was taxi and tuktuk. The staff are all wonderful helpful and always smiling. We had a standard room which was spacious enough for two including the bath room. Buffet breakfast was generous mix of western and Thai food more than enough to fill you up for a day of sight-seeing. The travel agent at the lobby was not very aggresive about his package tours and his prices were on the high side. We got our tour package at the Takshin BTS station travel agency who gave us a discount for day trips to the Floating Market and Ayuthaya. There is construction going on next door so our relaxation by the pool was constantly disrupted by loud noises. Use the pool after 5pm. Would recommend this place to everyone.

I just finished a 3 night stay at the FuramaXclusive in Silom. It is walking distance to both the BTS skytrain and the metro and to the Patapong night market. The hotel is down a few side streets so might be difficult to find at first - but it is only a few minutes walk to either Silom or Sathorn roads. Hotel is very clean and fairly new so it has good amenities in the room (like a safe). Staff is helpful. Breakfast is good (and was included in my rate). So with the very reasonable price, this was a great place to stay in Bangkok. I would definitely stay there again.
