Important Hotel Information
- Beginning March 1, 2013, the South Point Hotel will be charging a nightly resort fee of 12.50 plus tax, 14.00 total. This fee will include in room Wi-Fi, use of fitness center, local and toll free phone calls from guest rooms, boarding passes, and airport shuttle.

Better Than Expected

I have to admit when we first walked in to check in, all I could smell was the smoke from the casino, so I immediately was in a bad mood, but the staff was very nice and the room even nicer. My mood eventually changed and I saw how amazing the place was. The room was so big, you almost got lost in the bathroom. Besides the amazingly large room, there was alot to do besides gamble (bowling alley, bingo parlor, arcade, pool, etc). It was like a mini-all-inclusive in one hotel. We didn't really need to leave. It was far enough south on the strip, that there were really NO crowds of people. This place was truly enjoyable and easy to get to from the interstate and very inexpensive to stay with NO RESORT FEES!

The hotel and casino were just average. The staff was not friendly at all except the front desk staff. It is a considerable distance from the strip. I didn't realize the bull riding was in town that weekend either and the casino smelled of manure. Many of the staff looked fine until you got up close and notice stains on their uniforms, they did not make eye contact and when approached, simply answered your question without a smile. If you just want a casino and on a budget then this might be good for you. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower did not have much water pressure but the bathroom was separated and a good size. No free wifi. There was always a line-up at the restaurants so we tended to eat elsewhere.
