This was our first trip to Honolulu, and we were unaware of the "nice" places/areas to stay. Overall, the hotel was okay (older decor, out-dated bathroom/bedroom). It seemed clean. It was definitely in need of a remodel, but the staff was nice and helpful. I wished we had stayed somewhere newer and nicer.

You can tell the the Hawaii Prince used to be nice way back when. But since the collapse of the Japanese economy, it's been downhill for this hotel. The rooms are tired looking. The beds are lumpy and definitely hard on the back. The staff are all really nice and helpful. The location is convenient, but there is no beach access.

WE WENT FOR OUR DAUGHTERS WEDDING.THE STAY WAS GREAT. THE LOCATION MADE IT POSSIBLE TO WALK TO MOST OF THE PLACES WE NEEDED TO GO TO. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE .

My wife & I stayed at the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki hotel for one night prior to starting a cruise. The location is on the edge of Waikiki Beach so it was a very short walk from the hotel to the beach at a much lower cost than other centrally located beach hotels. The room was very clean and the staff helpful. I would definately recommend staying at this hotel.
