The day that I arrived to the Monte Carlo, the check-in lines were beyond packed. There was not enough staff to accommodate all of the guests who were trying to check in. As I made my way up to the desk, the girl was very rude and had a bad attitude. The hotel failed to mention they charge a DAILY resort fee! The buffet was actually quite great during brunch hours, but was a huge disappointment when we went for dinner. They charge you based on a seafood buffet, but had no seafood anywhere! Again, when I went to check out, the lines were backed up. Probably, not the best value for the money I spent!

The hotel was nice, in a good location on the strip. The hotel desk staff was very helpful when checking in, and helpful and knowledgable about booking shows and attractions for us. Would definately consider staying there again.

The Monte Carlo was clean and comfortable. The fast food places in the hotel made it easy to grab a quick cheap bite for the family. There are three pools that are big and kid friendly. The only complaint is that you are searched before going into the pool area for food / drinks. I can understand them stopping you if you are going to bring in a chicken dinner but making you down your bottle of water before entry is a bit harsh. Renting a floaty for the lazy river is $10 a day. They let you use your own if you got it. Check in / out was very easy.
