I had a nice stay here in June 2010. The room was very nice. The bar was great and I loved the decor. The only problem I had was with the room service, they brought the wrong thing and I was in too big of a hurry to notify them. I'm sure they would have corrected it had I told them. Do not go to The Cock pub down the street. A friend and I went and someone put something in our drinks.

Located at Kilburn Park Tube stop on the Bakerloo Line, the Marriott Maida Vale gives you easy access to central London while staying in a more residential area that is close to the Abbey Road Studios. The staff is exceptional and the rooms are consistent with an American-style hotel (2 double beds/not 2 twins). The fitness center is also exceptional. Nearby there is a Tesco for any groceries you might need and there is also a Starbuck's half a block away (always crowded). In the neighborhood there is also good Italian restuarant (Luna Park) that is reasonably priced and offers great service. If you are up for clubbing, but want to avoid an expensive taxi ride, there is a club called Westbury within walking distance to the hotel. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Hotel is nice, staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is located near Abby Road, and there are a number of restaurants and bars within a few blocks. Overall, however, it's unremarkable. Basic internet access is 15 gpb (~$25 US at time of writing) -- price it in if you expect to be able to connect. Or turn right and walk two blocks up the street and you will find a bar that offers free Wi-Fi if you buy a drink. Overall, the hotel was fine but a bit over priced when internet access is considered. Consider the Grange Holborn hotel -- we moved there because it was closer to the train we needed, but it was nicer, cheaper, and was closer to stuff to do (two blocks from British Museum).

This hotel is housed in an older building where the lobby, dining facilities and room bathrooms seem to have been recently remodeled. The rooms are still "older", but still very comfortable and clean. The service at this hotel is excellent as well as the breakfast buffet. What a great value for families! The neighborhood is not great, but still not bad. A small supermarket is just a view buildings down and food and other vendors are all along the street. The subway station is only 5 minutes away. The only disappointment was that the pool opened too early in the evening for our kids to enjoy it, the one night we tried to go, it was at max capacity and we weren't allowed in. We would definetely stay here again!

The staff was wonderful, the hotel was a good value for its cost. The facilities were clean and the restaurants and bars attached to the hotel had good food. I would stay here again. The only negative is that local phone calls costs 1 pound per minute and we were not informed until checkout about the charges, but other than that the hotel was great, I would recommend it to family and friends. It was a short distance to the tube and bus lines. There is a grocery store and ATM one block up and you are a short distance from central london and all the attractions.
