- A guest room renovation on unoccupied floors will occur thru December 2013. Work hours will be 9am-6pm Monday-Friday and 10am-6pm Saturday. Concierge lounge temporarily relocated thru June. Pool, dining and shops will be unaffected.

I reserved a room for 4 people expecting to get 2 double beds. I called two days before my reservation to confirm we would have two beds, but they could not guarantee this (even though I had book the room for 4 people.) When we got there they gave us a room with a king size bed..... For 4 people! They brought us a roll out bed, which made the room much smaller and crammed. Other than not getting the beds I paid for, the hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. This was my second stay at this hotel, and I would stay there again, but with less people since they, for whatever reason, cannot guarantee enough beds for the people staying there.

I HAVE STAYED IN MANY HOTELS IN MIAMI. THIS WAS ONE OF MY LEAST FAVORITE. I FELT IT WAS OVERPRICED. THE ROOM WAS JUST SO SO AND THE FURNITURE WAS PRETTY BANGED UP. THE ROOM WAS SMALL AND NOT MUCH DRAWER SPACE. THE BEACH WAS NICE HOWEVER IT WAS RIGHT NEXT TO A PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE BEACH AND VERY CROWDED ON THE WEEKENDS . THE BAR PRICES WERE EXTREMELY HIGH.

Rates are high, but that's south beach for you. Nice location. I'd stay there again. Within walking distance to plenty of things... restaurants, shops, and of course the beach. There is a DecoBike kiosk right by the hotel, and many, many more scattered around south beach, so that is a great way to get around. The Lincoln road outdoor mall is about a 25-30 minute walk, which is about the farthest we walked. Also you can rent a Segway at the corner of 6th and Washington.

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend Nov 4-7. 2011. We really enjoyed ourselves and liked this hotel. Any staff we encountered was great and happy to help in anyway they could. We had a nice room with an ocean view and king size bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. The only thing we didn't like was that there was not enough chairs around the pool and it usually got quite crowded. Sophia the pool attandent did her best to accomodate us but the one day there just was no room anywhere so we went down to the beach. We would eat lunch at the Deco Blue which over- looked the pool and the food and service was very good. We also were on the concierge floor and though they were closed saturday and sunday on monday they had a very nice continental breakfast. We loved the location as well. It was a short walk from all the restaurants and bars on the strip but still in the heart of everything and quiet enough at night right around the hotel. All in all a great hotel and would have no problem staying there on our next trip to Miami.
